After a year in Miami,Florida working on race horses, like Alydar the Triple Crown runner up, he moved to Northern California and worked in a small animal and equine clinics.  In 1982 he and his wife moved back to Houston where he became one of the founding partners of West Houston Veterinary Medical Associates in 1984.  In 1998 he took ownership of Nottingham Animal Clinic, at our current location.

"Dee" is currently in basic obedience and agility classes.

His long time hobbies are weightlifting and restoring and racing cars, particularly Pontiacs and his 1978 Trans Am, which he bought new upon graduating veterinary school. His wife, Sheri, is involved with dressage horses.  His son, Michael, continued the Aggie tradition by graduating as a third generation of Fix Aggies in Industrial Engineering and is currently working for Eaton/Cooper Industries in Milwaukee, WI transferred from Ventura, CA.  His daughter, Melissa, graduated from Texas State with a degree in Psychology and is accepted to nthe ursing program at Texas A&M at Corpus Christi.
